Crafting Research Questions and Qualitative Methodology: Course Description

Doctoral students taking this course learn how to write research papers. This allows students to develop an effective methodology to make this process more efficient and produce better results. Professor Judith Tendler will work with her students to develop good proposal writing skills, use qualitative and quantitative techniques and narrow down research topics. Students will not only be required to write their own research proposals but will also be required to review the drafts of other students. Students also learn how to develop their own research questions. This class is presented in seminar format.

Lectures, study materials, suggested readings and assignments are available online for free for this course. If you would like to take advantage of this free course, visit the urban studies and planning and crafting research questions and qualitative methodology course page.
