Getting Started on Classical Latin: Course Description

This course introduces classical, or ancient, Latin to students who have had little to no Latin training. The course looks at basic Latin grammar and pronunciation and the connections between classical Latin and modern English. Specific topics include inflexion, Latin and English links, pronunciation, cases and parts of speech among other topics. The original course was designed for Humanities, Classical Studies and Linguistics students. This course was given in a lecture format.
