Biology Overview: Course Description

'Biology Overview,' a 42-video lecture series, is offered as a webcast by the University of California at Berkeley. The undergraduate course covers the structure and function of cells, the study of genes and the transfer of genomes between cells. 'Biology Overview' is one of three webcast courses in basic molecular and cellular biology. The recommended textbook for the course is the 7th or 8th edition of Biology by Neil A. Campbell Jane B. Reece and Lawrence G. Mitchell. The course is taught by Dr. Richard Malkin and Dr. Robert Fischer of the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology and Dr. Gary Firestone of the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology.
