General Anatomy: Course Description

The 'General Anatomy' OpenCourseWare focuses on the structures and functions of the human body. Students will examine gross and microscopic functions of the anatomy of the human body. Topics covered in this course include skeletomuscular systems, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems. This free OpenCourseWare from the University of California, Berkeley, is taught by Professor Marion Diamond. The objective of this course is to teach students how the individual structures of the human body work together to form a living system. Students who are interested in taking more advanced Biology courses, and those who plan to pursue careers in medicine will benefit from this undergraduate-level course.
