Strategic Management I: Course Description

This free OpenCourseWare covers recent developments in strategic management. Students learned pragmatic approaches to crafting business strategy through readings, case studies and class lectures. This course focused on management strategy used by international corporations and the role of technology in successful business structures. Throughout the course, students learned proven business strategies and organizational structure theories. Other topics in this free course included organizational leadership, maintaining competitive advantage and the philosophy of corporations. Students applied their knowledge of organizational structure by writing a research paper that applied a framework from strategic management theory to a business or market. Professor Arnoldo Hax and Rohan Sahani taught this lecture-based business administration course.
