Special Problems in Architectural Design: Course Description
'Special Problems in Architectural Design' focuses on the representation tools in architecture. Emphasis is placed on digital media as a means of increasing students' familiarity and comfort in the design studio. This MIT OpenCourseWare helps students learn to use 3d modeling and rendering software. Students are encouraged to put the information taught in the class to develop unique solutions to a variety of architectural design problems. This course includes three main assignment topics, diagramming, housing analysis and material deployment investigation. This free OpenCourseWare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is taught by Professor Alexandros Tsamis. This undergraduate-level course requires access to Rhinoceros Mmodeling software and 3D Studio Max 6 rendering software.
