Spanish for Bilingual Students: Course Description
'Spanish for Bilingual Students' is taught by Professor Douglas Morgenstern and is designed primarily for heritage learners, people with a cultural tie to the Spanish language and proficiency in speaking, reading and writing. The class also accommodates students that have specific content areas, such as education, U.S. Latino immigration, ethnicity and representation in the media. There are two options for team projects.
The first option is to build a website that focuses on Spanish music, art, history and literature. The other option is to record interviews with MIT students from Spanish-speaking countries or with Latino immigrants from the Boston area.
Information about the student projects is available for download online for free. If you are interested in taking this course, please visit the Spanish for Bilingual Students homepage.
