Politics and Conflict in the Middle East: Course Description
When Professor Nazli Choucri designed the course 'Politics and Conflict in the Middle East,' it was intended as a study of the complicated politics in the region. Working from historical accounts and war records, most of the topics focus on the economic, social and political causes of war in the Middle East. The object of the course is to achieve a well-rounded view of the areas and situations. Classes focus on regional changes of power, resource use and population as well as the influence of technology. This lecture course also focuses on ways to move from conflict to cooperation in the region.
