Microeconomic Theory III: Course Description
This course deals with a number of complex economic subjects, such as Arrow's impossibility theorem, externalities and public goods and the optimality of equilibrium. Other lecture topics include core and convergence theorems, models of the stock market and theories of taxation. Sutudents will also study pricing strategies and how to maximize returns in an exchange economy. 'Microeconomic Theory III' is taught by Professor Peter Diamond of MIT who recommends several books to augment his extensive lecture notes. Among these are A Course in Microeconomic Theory by D.A. Krebs and Microeconomic Analysis by H. Varian.
