Problem Solving Seminar: Course Description

Mathematical puzzles have challenged inquisitive minds for centuries. 'Problem Solving Seminar' is an OpenCourseWare offered by MIT that engages those who enjoy tackling problems using various proven strategies. The course trains students to solve numerical questions. Materials outline techniques and information related to congruencies and divisibility, integers, linear algebra and zeros of polynomials. Hints and answers for supplementary problems are available. This course is taught by MIT professors Hartley Rogers, Richard Stanley and Kiran Kedlaya.
