Introduction to Numerical Simulation: Course Description

This OpenCourseWare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology teaches the computational techniques needed for the simulation of many physical and engineering systems. Examples include systems in areas such as material science and electrical, chemical, biological, mechanical, and aerospace engineering. You will learn about equation formulation methods, linear system solutions, QR and Krylov iterative methods, nonlinear system solutions, ODE solution methods, time-periodic solution methods, molecular dynamics, 3-D elliptic problems, and model order reduction. Several MIT Professors teach this free graduate-study course. This course was also broadcast to the National University of Singapore for students in the Singapore-MIT Alliance.

This OpenCourseWare about numerical simulation includes lecture notes and problem sets. If you are interested in taking this free course, visit the numerical simulation course page.
