Introducing ICT Systems: Course Description

The 'Introducing ICT Systems' OpenCourseWare from The Open University provides an introduction to information and communications technologies (ICT) systems. Besides learning how ICT systems store and process data, students will learn about the communications, software and hardware components of these systems. The course also uses an example of a networked ICT system in a supermarket to explain how ICT systems are used. This undergraduate-level class is appropriate for students interested in IT and applied Computer Science careers. This course can be completed in about nine hours.
