Avalanche and Snow Dynamics: Course Description

The 'Avalanche and Snow Dynamics' OpenCourseWare is instructed by Mike Jenkins. It is a part of USU's Wildland Resources course program. Avalanche formations and avalanche forecast ratings are discussed within this course along with instructions on how to dig a snow pit and how to recognize the potential of an avalanche occurrence. The course also focuses on the weather conditions that increase the likelihood of an avalanche.
