General Ecology covers topics including natural history, population genetics, natural selection, food webs, biodiversity and landscape and global ecology. This free OpenCourseWare from the Utah State University is taught by Professor Michelle Baker, Ph.D. This course aims to increase the ecological and scientific literacy of students. Those taking this undergraduate-level course can learn the basic principles and concepts of what ecosystem ecology is, along with learning how ecological knowledge is constructed. An emphasis is placed on how students can use this information in the hopes of initiating global changes.
