Course Description

'Differential Equations' is an undergraduate-level mathematics course for those interested in earning bachelor's degrees in Mathematics. Professors Arthur Mattuck and Haynes Miller of MIT explore the relevance of differential equations to engineering and science. They discuss topics like Fourier series, linear equations, undetermined coefficients, the Laplace transform and chaos. The course focuses on 'ordinary' or single-variable differential equations. Students taking advantage of the free OpenCourseWare have the opportunity to actually watch the professors lecture through video downloads.
