Chinese IV (regular): Course Description

Julian K. Wheatley taught the 'Chinese IV (regular)' lecture course in MIT's Foreign Languages and Literatures Department. This undergraduate course was designed for students pursuing minors in the Chinese language, but the OpenCourseWare version will be useful for any intermediate-level student of this in-demand language. 'Chinese IV (regular)' OpenCourseWare builds on the vocabulary and grammar that students learn in the previous three courses, allowing them to consolidate their speaking and writing skills. The course also sharpens listening skills, and it expands cultural knowledge by introducing students to a traditional Chinese short story.

'Chinese IV (regular)' OpenCourseWare includes access to review assignments, a Chinese menu description, as well as audio files and course readings. If you are interested in taking this free online course, visit the intermediate Chinese language course page.
