Advanced Electromagnetism: Course Description

This OpenCourseWare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology focuses on teaching topics in advanced electromagnetism to graduate students in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree programs. MIT Professor Jin Au Kong leads the course. Lecture topics include the characterization of left-handed materials, Green's functions for planarly layered media, integral equations, the time domain method of moments, a study of electromagnetic waves in periodic structures and a basic theory of electromagnetic scattering. Several MATLAB demonstrations help illustrate the electromagnetism principles of electromagnetic waves.

This OpenCourseWare includes lecture notes and video demonstrations. If you are interested in taking this free course, visit the advanced electromagnetism course page.
